How-to install PDI CMIS Input

PDI CMIS Input is released in a zip file containing everything is enough to install the plugin correctly. PDI CMIS Input plugin is tested on Windows 7 and Ubuntu 12.04 LTS 64Bit but should work on different operating systems because of the portability of the Pentaho suite. Regarding the ECM system, only Alfresco Community Edition have been involved in the unit tests. Please, suggest limits and tests to let it work even in other contexts.

Since summer 2013 the PDI CMIS Input plugin is released in the Pentaho marketplace. If you have the conditions, please prefer the installation using the marketplace because simpler and smarter. 😉

Prerequisites

 CMIS

E.C.M. with CMIS support
All tests have been done on Alfresco Community Edition platform version 4.0 and 4.2. No specific requirements are needed for the E.C.M. except the CMIS standard adoption.

 PDI-logo Pentaho Data Integration (Kettle)
All tests have been on version 5 and 4.3 stable. No specific requirements are needed for the Pentaho Data Integration (Kettle) installation and no specific command or solution are used.

Install the zip

Installing the PDI CMIS Input is extremely simple.

  • Close Pentaho Data Integration (Kettle) if opened.
  • Extract the installation zip in the parent folder of the ‘<data-integration>’.
